lots of condos have electric heat on LI and they get screwed big time as not much you can do to save in winter.

And that's why we went to solar. Electric bills will always increase.

This. I have LED's everywhere now and you really do notice a difference in savings. However, id sweat to death with the heat on 70. Highest mine goes is 65-68 and that's when its absolutly freezing outside.
