I have family living on Jericho and South 9th street, and a BBQ in the back yard, is ruined....

Just something to think of..

this is for LGA, they have it also for JFK, but you can still see the landings to JFK from this also.
Honestly didnt think of this issue before for NHP, is it all of NHP or just South NHP?. Thanks for pointing it out. Where in W. Nassau (comparable to NHP) is airplane noise not an issue?

When did the flight paths change? I lived in NHP for 11 years and had many backyard bar-b-ques. I never noticed any airplane noise.

I guess it depends on the part since NHP is fairly large....what part are you from?

I lived on Rhodes Drive (close to Park Circle) which is a few blocks in from Marcus Avenue and in between Hillside Avenue and Jericho Turnpike. Is airplane noise an issue in this location?

Another poster here [nightcrawler] claims it is. I also searched the forums here and saw a few threads regarding the same complaints. I cannot attest to it since I've only been online shopping NHP....I have no friends or family to visit there for more than a few hours to notice the airplane traffic.

I guess the flight paths changed after I moved. In the 11 years I lived in NHP, the only time I noticed planes flying over my house was when I happened to look up and saw them. Airplane noise was never an issue. NHP was a very quiet neighborhood when I lived there.

It didn't even cross my mind that airplanes noise will be an issue when I purchased near Park circle, I moved to NHP a year ago and I can tell you planes are flying lower and louder, and it happens every few minutes, so please consider that before buying
