Long story short I had solar panels put in, and I'm now in the inspection phase. A brookhaven building inspector is coming to inspect. A few months ago, I had a repair done on a drain line and they brought a backhoe to dig. While they were here, I asked them to dig a hole in my yard for a future outside entrance. I have not had anything else done besides the hole. Is that going to be an issue? I plan on having a contractor do the work and getting the permit, just won't be done before the inspection is done. Am I looking at a fine here?
Fine you for what? Having a hole in your yard? No.. You might be on his future radar, and if you proceed with that entrance project without the proper permits he could slap a stop work order on you.

I've asked a few people and I've heard different things. The majority is that the inspector will harp on the hole because of it's size. It is pretty substantial. I don't even want an OSE anymore, I just won't be able to get someone there to fill it before I get inspected.
The inspector will leave his glasses home that day .
