Is this possible? Doesn't have to be tremendously fancy, just a regular Nassau County or western Suffolk (relatively comfortable commute to NYC), single family home with 3 bedrooms and a pool. Doesn't need to be on the beach. Looking to spend no more than $5000/mo. Wondering how doable this is. Things on airbnb are mostly Sag Harbor (too far), Hamptons (too expensive), etc. Stuff on Zillow seems unfurnished which leads me to believe they won't be short term leases. Seems like things are either rated per night or unfurnished so prob a long term lease. Can anyone think of other options? Trying to book early for 2018.
Those rentals are hard to find, but not impossible - although it's a bit early for next Summer.
Most likely you'll have to go through a Realtor, because for the most part, the homeowners don't want to be bothered with screening everyone who applies.
