COD. It's the only way.
Some of the COD companies offer services contracts, the prices can be reasonable.
Even a $200 contract pays itself off in one emergency visit.
Slomins back down to 2.699. I told the guy that the price was too high, they were at 2.699 before the market tanked 8%. The guy agreed with me. Said he might be able to get manager approval to do something a little less but who knows.
ETA: I just called Petro to find out if they were offering any better pricing than they gave me last week. I find out that they also cancelled my propane account when they cancelled my oil. I never even spoke the word propane when I told them to cancel the oil. idiots. now im sitting on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure this one out.
Why waste your time. Plenty of propane dealers around.

Propane is a PITA to find a dealer because I technically own my tank yet most propane dealers will not deliver unless they are providing a tank (for a rental cost).
I did call Petro back and it was worth it. $2.699 lock in for a year. Free premier service contract ($99 plus tax minus $100 credit). They fixed my propane too and activated that.
Their retention department wanted $3.059 and would not waive the cost of the service contract last week. This deal I did through sales. They didn’t seem to care that I was a recent customer. Don’t they normally require you wait six months? I knew their previous price was lousy.
What company do you know that will do contract when you buy oil cod? I’ve tried 4 so far, including Metro that was mentioned here and no go.
Thanks!!

I bought my tank From them. I left them pretty quickly afterwards. I forget why. Maybe it’s because they wanted to do tank swaps and not fill. Why am I going to pay for tank swaps and lose out on some gas I have in the tank. Petro is filling it so they only fill what I use.

Paraco is the worst. Can't count how many times I ran out of propane with them
I guess I am lucky then. I've never run out of propane, and when I get low, I call, and they're there the next day.
Unfortunately, the tanks that they gave me had no gauge. Was put on automatic delivery. Also, when I did call because I was getting nervous, they no showed more than once.
