As a variable price customer with Meenan, I just paid 3.49 a gallon on auto-fill. I am guessing that is not a great price.

^^ Wow that’s crazy.

A quick look on COD fuel show 150 gallons for around $1.90 a gallon.

Meenan, General, Perillo Bros, All owned and operated by Petro. Crooks! Shop around, better prices to be found with good service.

Yeah, I didn't want to look, but I did. I think I'm ready to move on. It's so absurd, it's like I'm missing something.

Seems like COD, plus finding a local to do an annual service still comes out way ahead.

Cancel you contract with Meenan and you can get new customer pricing with Petro or Perillo Bros in the low 2's price range. They offer the same great service contract as Meenan.

Do they include a service agreement at least? I remember doing this with Petro because I hated then coming once a month to top off and I felt I wasn't in control of deliveries.

A) There is usually a hefty cancellation fee for pricing contracts.
B) Those companies are all owned by Petro and in the past have not negotiated pricing among themselves.

New customer Hirsch or Slomins has to be in the ~2 dollar range with a contract right now. Paying over 2.25 in this market is highway robbery, even with a contract. BTW, I'm paying 2.49 under contract so am also getting robbed.
