What if they can't actually fix the assessment system, and it has to limp along the way it is now?

Exactly, they all do the same ****. It's a lose lose, but this lady isn't off to a great start IMO.

Let's see how long before another proposed change to revamp the system comes along. I bet this ain't really over yet. I am one who grieves every year and have won 6 out of 7 years doing so. My taxes have still gone up, but less than my neighbor's that don't grieve, yet we all get the letters in the mail about doing so. Is it fair, I think so. You have a right to grieve, than do so. Don't complain if you ignore the 20 or so notices that come each year to do so. I agree it's not a perfect system, but show me what is.

Nothing is going to be perfect, but something needs to be done. Tax assessments should be based on value not who grieves with politically connected companies and who doesn't. An attempt needs to be made to at least get something close to accurate.

So what your saying is Martins would just be a continuation of Mangano like leadership.

I haven't seen anything different in leadership.
It's been the same crap. They just blame everything on the opposite party.
Meanwhile, they (both parties) are in cahoots with each other.
Nassau is some of THE most corrupt and inept politicians ever.
And the cycle just perpetuates itself.
Good luck.

I’m just saying, why would you pat yourself on the back for wanting Martins? Jury is still out on Curran. I don’t think 3 months is enough, IMO.
