What idea are you talking about? The discussion was about the current system being unfair. I brought up the fact there is no justifiable reason why someone who makes more gets charged more. How property taxes are different than the salary issue you brought up. That is my contention. Yet you say it's fine - with no reason other than "that's how it is". That's how all your arguments have been - completely without validation or explanation.
Why would a person who theoretically works harder - now or in the past to get where they are - why do they get punished for it? What kind of message does that send?
Conversely, someone who CHOOSES to buy a larger home, a larger property on land owned by the municipality - they have every responsibility to pay more than someone who buys something on a smaller scale. THAT makes sense. Not for the guy who works harder to do better financially. Bringing up salary to compare to being taxed more for getting more tangible living space in return is weak.
Taxes only work one way. There are plenty of millionaires and billionaires that not only never worked a hard day in their life, they don’t even pay their fair share. You are delusional and a big time cry baby. Toughen up, the world is scary.

Yes because "plenty" of billionaires is who I'm talking about. Typical long isle response with no real content other than name-calling. Tell us more about what typically happens and how we should accept it. Ranking on guys who supposedly never worked hard - this all coming from a union guy.
RE: Conversely, someone who CHOOSES to buy a larger home, a larger property on land owned by the municipality -
Which municipalities own land under privately owned homes?

Why does someone owning a larger home on a larger property have a responsibility to pay more real estate taxes? Does that person use more govt. services than the owner of a smaller home/property?
Was watching the news the past few days.
Today Kentucky teachers are on strike. Now if i understood the issue their salaries
are state-wide.
WOW what a concept. Instead of the sweet-heart deals they're getting
