My husband and I are first time home buyers with 2 elementary school aged children. We've been trying to find a home in areas
like Bohemia, Smithtown, St James, and Sayville because we want our kids to be in a good school district, but the taxes make it unaffordable. This weekend we found an affordable house in Rocky Point, which we loved! We know nothing about the Rocky Point school district. We just noticed that it's rated fairly low amongst other schools in Suffolk county. Can anyone with children offer some advice on this district? Is Rocky point a safe area to raise a family? Any feedback is much appreciated!
You mean centereach? That area is in 3vsd, and fairly reasonable.
Yes indeed! When I travel to the area, I have to use Centereach as the city otherwise navigation has trouble with it as South Setauket. Same zip codes too.
I would recommend South Setauket in the Three Villages School District! Taxes are reasonable.
Made up name....... its a Centereach mailing address.
