News flash: Town of Hempstead has been in GOP control for almost 100+ years. Taxes have NEVER gone down in that time. 2+2=duh?!?! Under Dems...taxes have never gone down either. However, Repubs have ALWAYS ended their administrations in recession. Dems, not so much. Economies almost ALWAYS better under Dems long term. I don't really want to give them any credit, but #numericalfacts are facts.
And don't forget the Republican machine that ran Nassau County in the 70s and 80s that gave those generous contracts to county workers that we are paying off to this day.
Oyster Bay town was even worse. The Republicans ruled with an iron fist.
Democrats believe the government knows best. They want to bankrupt you and for you to be permanently dependent on the government dole so you will always vote D.
I'm no fan of establishment republicans, but there is a reason I have never voted for a democrat in 20 years despite being a their target demographic (asian, educated).
Only a common sense, practical goal oriented guy like Trump can get us out of this, no matter how much the media is trying to paint him as some unhinged orange lunatic.

People have been promising me revolution and the death of LI for years and it's always just a tease. LIers will protest for some chix wings and a mani-pedi, but will vote for the same clown shoes over and over again when it really matters. Believe me, real change isn't a LI thing. Just venting and whining. Change is too hard. Progress is scary.
this is it, nobody is going to be able to keep paying commercial rent if this drags on. Congress is done giving out money also.

cuomo added so many things, they asked him about that today, what happens if we open and its 4 deaths a day instead of 3 in a 3 day rolling period. he said we go into lockdown again on todays press conference. You can go listen to him yourself if you think im lying.
He added 7 MORE strict "goals" a region in NY has to have. So now hes breaking apart NY all in the name of saving lives, but hes the one who created the nursing home corona virus with his executive order forcing them back in the nursing home. thousands of deaths but thats another story.
its a complete disaster. And now hes added 7 more things that makes it impossible to open.

Who exactly shut down the state one week too late (contrast NY/NYC with CA/SF)? Remember, DeBlasio of all people called for a shut down the day after SF went to shelter in place.
Who's health department thought it was a good idea to send sick people back into nursing homes creating thousands of unnecessary deaths?
There is no proof that people have immunity after contracting the disease.
Most of us have had the luxury of having experienced multiple other coronaviruses in our lifetime. Yes, you can get the same strain again, but a year + later and at a weaker state:
