What is wrong with these protestors going after a news reporter, what is wrong with a president that supports this behavior. Why is it so difficult for Bellone and Zeldin to criticize this type of behavior.

As the news clips of protesters berating Vesey while he walked through the Setauket Patriots' demonstration along Jericho Turnpike Thursday went viral, support for him came in from many corners, while Trump’s supporters followed his lead in disparaging the news media.
Trump, who is spending this weekend at Camp David, on Friday night tweeted a video clip of the protesters hounding the reporter and repeated their chant in capital letters: “Fake news is not essential.”

For all the well-educated, pseudo affluence, we're constantly represented to the world by morons like this. Saddest is these phony "cons" vote against their own interests as the day is long, keeping themselves down though stupidity, fear and gullibility. They play themselves all the time, then get mad at the "unforeseen librull forces" keeping them down. It's really hard to stay reasonable and rational with the ultra religious and/or ultra stupid...who get even angrier, more self-righteous and indignant when they are presented with actual evidence. It's the era of fingerpointing and blame. Personal responsibility is a lost art. In 2016 America became the land of petulant, lying, bitchy, vindictive, greedy babies. It was stamped the official doctrine. THAT is the new normal!! Enjoy!

it's pretty disgusting that the President of the United States posted a video of the rally on his Twitter which had a protester giving the middle finger and shouting the "f word" at a reporter (which was not beeped out).
I don't care if what side of the fence you are on, this is not normal.
You are going to get a few outliers in every crowd. Apparently the Newschannel 12 reporter is sad a few said mean things to him and made him feel uncomfortable.
The Setauket Patriots indicated these were outsiders attacking the reporter, still some really foolish people wherever they are from.
That's always the rap/excuse when these "patriot" protests go bad politically. It's totally laughable. News 12 is barely even news, fake or otherwise! What next, they attack Commack Patch?!!?! People who live to point blame at others usually find 4 fingers pointing back at themselves.

What made a bunch of yokels waving a flag and not following social distancing practice making it more likely to spread the virus newsworthy in the first place?
I am sure Kevin is enjoying his moment in the sun anyway. How else was he going to get national attention working for dopey News 12? I don't think covering the grand opening of a bagel store in Commack and other such News 12 events accounts for journalism anyway.
Perhaps this is his ticket to better journalism jobs.
