The people who are cutting down the trees are the same people who hire landscapers to mow and edge the lawn.

That's not how society works.

Property owners have every right to cut down trees on their property, and other people have every right to have their own opinions about the results. That's how society works.

of course everyone can do what they want it's their property, but it's the people who buy in wooded areas and scorch the earth that are the problem. If you need to clear an area for a pool great, but respect the overall look of the area, leave trees that are not sick or a threat, and plant new! If you don't like trees move to plainview

I am still looking for sources with reasonable price for already grown or fast growing trees that can go in front of the white ugly (to me) vinyl fencing to make the backyard look more "natural". HD sells those evergreens for $40-$50 but they will take long time to grow, I guess we need to get the ones that are at least 6' tall and plant them 3' spacing? I need to subscribe to landscaping forums or something I guess, I heard landscapers charge a lot of money when it comes to planting and delivery of new trees. Does anyone know what's the average cost of new planting?

If you want Leylands, arborvitaes, thuja green etc. They will have the best prices around for the trees. I'm not sure about the planting costs as I do it myself.

Thanks, do you have pictures of your yard? (you can PM me if you prefer) I really envy tree filled yards.
