Yes, another property tax thread.
I was able to register & log onto Town Of Islip receiver of taxes. My property taxes went up $765 PER YEAR.
I guess the loss in tax revenue due to COVID has to be made up somewhere!

Mine went from $703 to $16,108!!! It was your school taxes or the town portion hiked it. The county potion this year was pretty much flat.

Not to worry. The SALT cap will be shortly eliminated and this won’t hurt as bad!!

My school tax went up 9% and overall taxes went up a little under $1K. I looked at the break down and it looks like we received less state aid than the previous year.

Form what I read the Dems are not bringing it back. So we’ll all keep paying and like it.

I won’t hold my breath on that one. As I’m sure the income tax rates will be rolled back (increased) back to Obummer rates.

Welcome to NY, where schools are 50% less in quality and where you pay tripple the taxes someone in FL or AZ would pay for best schools.

Can’t compare Fl/AZ to NY. I wouldn’t move there if you gave me a house!
