When we were house hunting I remember seeing a beautiful house that backed up to a busy pizzeria. It was gorgeous and well in our budget. But that proximity to a busy restaurant was a deal breaker.
OP this the price you pay for buying a house that close to a restaurant. I'm sure the asking price of the house reflected that. And at this time where the restaurant business is hurting your best option is to move or get ear plugs.
Yeah I’m outa here. But my new location is top secret.
I still need to unload my LI house, but I’m enjoying watching people fight over it.
It’s a never ending bidding war. It just keeps going. It’ll be over soon though. I hope.
Every time we think it’s over someone else jumps in.

Wow, went from east end to Maine now to Texas and still haven't left the driveway.
It is kind of ironic some crap all over LI housing (myself included) just for the next poster to brag about the bidding war for their house. Apparently, supply and demand is a thing. Not many bidding wars for new HOA developments in the Ft Worth metro, lovely as they are.
I’m already gone. Waited a bit before listing house just to make sure all worked out at the new location which is not in FL, TX, or Maine btw.
House is vacant. Realtor is family friend so he’s been keeping an eye on the place.

Congrats. I can't wait till the day years from now where I can do the same.
I know someone who out of the blue listed his house a month ago and after a bidding war sold it for about 650K. Bought it in 2012 for 460K. Nice little profit there.
Already has moved south to Virginia. Doubled the lot size down there. Wooded area. Quiet. Property taxes about 1/3 what he paid here.
