Looks like its the next phase of enforcement thats gonna come around sooner than later.
CA Gov already announced he will mandate vaccinations for kids to attend school as soon as FDA approves it for the smaller children.

Curious if this happens in NY state, will LI be able to avoid it in any way.

How would LI be able to do that?

I just saw this article and it seems to me that a school district that does not rely heavily on state funding could probably decide not to comply.

If I'm not mistaken, long island tax payers pay for the schools.

For example wantaghs school budget according to news day was over 52 million dollars for 1 year.

You could buy property in the city for that kind of money, why would a long island school need the state for anything?

LOL to the idea that LI schools would survive without state funding without your taxes going up.

My school tax would be 15 percent higher. Not the worse. Meanwhile the state gave 3 percent less to some districts anyways

You're going to see a lot more homeschooling if that becomes an absolute mandate.

This whole pandemic has led to an increase in homeschooling here but one parent has to be home to do it.

Absolutely.
I know of several who are willing to adjust their lifestyle. And then there is now the option of online schooling when a parent works from home.

The wealthier school districts get about 5% funding from the state
