First time was like a bad cold. The second time was like a runny nose. This was a adult male mid 40’s.
I know a few kids that have had it two times. But the only way they knew they were positive is because an outbreak happened on the sports team so they all had to get tested. Without that they wouldn’t have ever knew they were positive.
...after having covid and not getting the vaccine? Just a simple question. I'm not pro-vax or anti-vax. Just curious.
I don't personally know anyone who got Covid for a second time. I am sure it has happened.
I know scores of co-workers who have got Covid despite being 'fully vaccinated' (as in two shots). At this point, everyone I know who is coming down with Covid is 'fully vaccinated'. I don't know anyone who has gotten Covid twice while fully vaccinated.
My neighbor had it twice before the vaccine was available. She's an EMT and her husband works for the MTA. I don't know who gave it to whom and they both came down with it at the very beginning of the pandemic. They convalesced at home, but felt miserable. The second time, she and her whole family got it and she ended up in the hospital and the husband also had a very severe case but didn't need to go to the hospital. The kids didn't get it the first time but they got it when their parents got Covid the second time.
Per our family dr there is a severe Covid like cold going around right now out here. You will not test positive for Covid but this isn’t your normal 2-4 day cough and sniffle. This thing will be with you for a solid 2-3 weeks. He said he’s never seen a “cold” like this in is 35+ years of practice.
I feel it may be a weakened form of Covid that’s been passed around and around.

My daughter has this and she never gets sick. She woke up feeling lousy again this morning and it's been going on quite a while. It could partly be allergies but I don't think she'd feel as crappy as she does.

Nearly two years of mask wearing, forced social distancing, home schooling, work from home, limited travel, etc. may have resulted in the local population being less capable of fighting off a cold.
