Been trout fishing all my life but it’s just meh out here. The rivers that I like best are the Carmans and Nissequogue. Carls River in Babylon isn’t too bad either but it’s a short stretch of water.

Most of the people out here go to the Connetquot River but you need a reservation and have to follow a boat load of guidelines. Way to political for my liking.

If you’re looking for a spot to relax, set up chairs and toss a line in then try Belmont Lake. But as others said you def need a fresh water license.
