So I don’t like hot humid overcrowded beaches full of disrespectful people playing loud crappy fiesta music and don’t like spending two hours sitting down to eat food that will be floating down the east river tomorrow.
If I am grumpy, it’s probably because I cannot stand this state, most of the people here, the taxes ($14k for the crappy town I live in), traffic, getting pinched by a big black woman in a parking lot because I wasn’t wearing a mask. Yeah, grumpy for a reason. Nothing to do with age though. But I can get a good bagel and that makes it all better.

You’ll hear crappy fiesta music pretty much anywhere these days. If you move to the sticks you’ll hear something even worse, banjo music
It will be FL so they have higher sales tax. Cheaper prop taxes and no state cap gains offsets everything by far. We already have the house, it has 28 years left at 2.75%. It’s rented now we aren’t even paying for it!! Make that $$ in NY then leave.

Heading north here. Because nobody retires up north, lol. NH Zero income tax, zero sales tax. Especially helpful when withdrawing from IRA’s (Zero state income tax) Especially since that’s where most of my retirement income will come from.
Sitting in a condo (don’t have to worry about shoveling) with views of the Lakes, mountains, moose/wildlife, fireplace going, I’m good! LOL
Again, early retirement! Otherwise work here until age 65, NO THANKS! No brainer!
