I’ve noticed that people in general drive slower on the city highways since the 25 mph street speed limit went into effect. It’s as if people think there are speed cameras on the highways and drive obnoxiously slower than the posted 55 mph limits creating traffic congestion. As soon as you get to little neck parkway, traffic either accelerates going east or is forced to slow down going west. Only time of the day that I don’t experience this is after 11pm until morning rush hour begins.
