Saw the Days Inn in Hicksville post after I made my post, I think that should be fine as well.
The OP moved to the Hampton Inn in Commack which will be fine too.

Quite a foolish statement to say LI crime is near historical low standards. Not even close. Talk to anyone from LI that grew up there before the late 90s and/or a cop.

Hoods like Brentwood, Bayshore, N. Babylone, S. Huntington, parts of Islip were wonderful areas to grow up back in the day before MS 13 and the illegal alien invasion from Central America. Now they are total crapholes.

You’re all insane. You wanna see an area that’s unsafe go stand on the corner of Pitkin and Christopher Ave in Brooklyn. Better yet, have a lovely stroll through the Pink Houses. Long Island is fine.

By parts of Islip you mean central Islip? If so, it's been rough there as long as I can remember

Just because some incidents happen or get more reported in the news, doesn't mean it is worse or crime is up. Crime is nowhere near where it was 30 years ago
