I have a tree on my property that is touching the electric service line to my house. Will PSEG trim it if I request it? If not how do I get a tree company that will do it properly & safely?

You can call PSEG and ask them to trim it. Someone will come by to inspect but they probably won't since it's a service line

If PSEG says you'll have to hire a contractor and pay for it, the tree trimming company will schedule the date and time when they can come by. You'll have to contact PSEG to ask them to shut your power off. Once complete, contact PSEG to turn on power.

They came and trimmed my trees for free last year close to end of summer. I didn't call them, they just came, asked for permission to enter my backyard.
But don't expect a good trim, it's more like $5 hair cut. Uneven and a bit butchered, but I don't mind as long as it is done safely. They also took all branches, bushes, etc with them.
