Does anyone know of any stores that just sell fruits and vegetables? I am not looking to go to a farmers market and there is one by me every Saturday until October, although I will possibly check it out this weekend. I am finding the quality at both ShopRite and Stop and shop pricey and not that good. I am willing to travel a bit if needed. I have heard Guintas has quality Fruit. There is a farm in Aquebogue that I have gone to in the past that has a good selection not sure if I want to travel that far this weekend. Thanks

I like Guinta's in Farmingdale. There is also Fruit Tree in Copiague but I am personally not a fan.

A lot of folks like Johns Farms in Plainview for their inexpensive fruit and veggies. I find most of their quality very suspect though, but to each his/her own. I do like their fish market though.

I find most grocery stores have poor fruit. Honestly outside of farmers markets I do very well at Whole Foods. Quality is by far above most grocery stores and pricing is decent especially on sale.

A farmer's market will have the stuff that you would travel to Aquebogue for. Why are you opposed? I can't imagine a store just selling produce being able to make rent on LI. Pat's Farms in Franklin Square always had great produce but IDK if they are still open.

Another vote for Giuntas. I go to the ones in Commack and Northport, and their fruit and vegetable offerings are always well presented, fresh, and reasonably priced. Great store.

I am not opposed it's just that the farmers market by me does not have a lot of fruit and veggies stands.
I think I am going to go to Guintas for fruits and veg they have a better selection than stop and shop

You don't have a garden? Why not try growing.
