Which ones are open to the public? In the city, NYU will not let just anybody in, I suppose to keep out homeless folk who want to move in.

I'm close to CW Post/LIU, and Hofstra. I've tried SUNY Farmingdale and found it didn't have a lot of stuff. Stony Brook has most of what I need, but it's a trek.

I'm spoiled. When I was out west I could just waltz into the chem library at UC Berkeley, and they had everything.

You can get into Hofstra. It's pretty decent. Don't waste your time with Adelphi, in Garden City, it's not worth it, too small. Most of the colleges on LI will let you in no questions asked.
