I def. think this needs to be done. It is already in place in the city and I think it's great! A lot of people are misinformed when it comes to calorie content and nutritional information.
I'm all for this but why are they only applying this to fast food joints?
I agree. I think it needs to be done on ALL restaurants but the truth of the matter is that I think a lot of restaurants are concerned it may hurt their business.

If you think that people should be given no choice about what they eat, sure, oppose it.
The reality is that the restaurant business is the one business were largely unqualified people have the power of life and death over the general public - who put the restaurant's products into their bodies without practically any information about the source of ingredients, the method of preparation and standard of cleanliness and other important factors one would expect.
The least that could happen is that information about the calories be identified.

No it isn't...that's why only chain resturants in the city are doing it, not ALL restaurants. Restaurants were not cooperating or something.
sounds like you have a solid grasp of the facts...lol.
Regardless, when the county passed the non-smoking laws back in the 90's, everyone cried about lost revenue. The reponse from the powers that be was "too f--king bad". That's how it should be with this scenario as well.
