Be aware that the area in the picture is just north of Brookhaven Lab.

Where is the "sober house" specifically (do 25 and WF intersect)? Did you mean 25A?

There actually many scattered in Middle Island.
Not sure about Ridge.

Rehab/House is on 25 right before the N/S approach by the Fire house.

South of BNL is woods. Then more woods. Then the LIE. Then more woods. Then a small industrial park, then N. Shirley.
Is North Shirley worse/better than Ridge? It's the same SD and house prices are actually fairly close.

Poop runs downhill.

By all appearances they are on somewhat equal footing if you can get past the stigma of Shirley.
For me, Id pass on anything directly South of BNL

OMG, that book is absolutely hilarious!
I got into this with some other dude in another thread. There isn't any cancer in Shirley. Look all you want, cancer rates are steady compared to any other town on LI-EXCEPT for the North shore where there are scary pockets of breast cancer and nobody seems to understand why.
I moved to N Shirley in 1974 and my bus used to drop kids in BNL. You can think what you want, despite 40 years of not finding cancer in Shirley.
I accept that this site has it's bias but to knock N Shirley when compared to a nowhere town like Ridge is just plain stupid.

Ill take your word for it (and hers) since you both live(d) there but Ridge is still more desirable than N Shirley.

Hey at least youre not in Floyd.
