I'm afraid it's a one and done playoff season for the Jets.Cincinnati is not the team we saw Sunday night and will bring a myriad of blitzes to shake up Sanchez into making quick decisions which will result in turnovers.I'm guessing 31-10 but what do I know.....I still have a Richard Todd jersey.

And I still have a Wonder Years jacket.
If they keep it on the ground Jets D will completely dominate this week.
O line is tight Mangold/Faneca are on fire right now.
The Bungles dont scare me at all (Nor do a Non Welker Pats or the Aints.)
Indy/Dallas/Philly thats another story.
Gang Green is a Long Island thing...no hatin' from Big Blew.

Love this thread!
I think they have a good chance on Saturday. Obviously the Bengals will be playing at a bit higher level than last week but I think the matchup is as good as the Jets could have asked for. Running the ball and defense are two things they do well - the forecast is for a high of 22 with flurries.
I think we will know very early as the tone of the game is set. The Jets will get their yards on the ground and I think Sanchez will do what he needs to do to keep the chains moving. I think the D can shut Cincy down pretty tight.
Regardless of the outcome, just getting a playoff game for Sanchez and Rexy is all gravy at this point.
I'm a Giant fan who loves the Jets..I only route against the Jets if they are playing the G-men..I've loved them since the early 80's AJ Duey disaster and all that sad stuff.
Unfortunately, I can't see the Quarterback getting them through the playoffs, even the first round. He's way too "green" and hasn't experienced playoff pressure. The rest of the team is ready for prime time, but if they fall behind by more than a touchdown to any team, I don't think Sanchez can be counted on to make big plays and not make mistakes...and he shouldn't be, he's a rookie.
It's a shame that teams like Indy and Cincy laid down for the Jets the last two weeks. One, it gave the Jets a false sense of hope. Two, it kept my Steelers out of the playoffs and they could have done more damage than the Jets will. Then again, we have ourselves to blame more than anything.
Cincy showed the Jets NOTHING last week. They will throw the kitchen sink at Sanchez. They are going to crowd the line of scrimmage and stack up against the run. They'll force Sanchez into 3rd and Longs and it won't be pretty for him.
I think Cincy will go through even though I'm pulling for the Jets.

Spot on
I have no expectations but its been a hell of a ride.

Indy maybe(but they stayed competitive and w/in 5)....The Jets owned Cincy last week.

PS
When last I checked you had quite a few player neighbors.
Like dman, I'm a Giant fan that doesn't mind seeing the Jets do well since there's really no rivalry between the two teams. I'll be rooting for them on Saturday, but Sanzhez probably isn't ready (the thought of Sanchez starting a playoff game on the road has gamblers foaming at the mouth).
If the Jets had an experienced/quality QB they might have won 14 games this year.

Crooks...I'm a Steeler fan you know that. Born and raised in Western PA. Yeah, I'm a bit pissed that Indy and Cincy laid down the last 2 weeks, but what are you gonna do? It happens. I'm sure Pittsburgh will benefit from that someday too.
I'm cheering for the Jets because I hate Cincy..they are division rival. Yeah, we have quite a few Jets in Garden City, but I think that will change over the next few years since they don't practice at Hofstra anymore.
