We should force the teachers to pay the district money for the privledge of teaching our above average children. This money would be collected and given back to the taxpayers by our astute, honest and charitable politicians. Furthermore, the teachers should be herded up and forced to march after every major parade. The populace would throw spitballs and beer bottles at them. They should work 365 days a year; no, wait...400 days a year, outdoors, and be available for abuse 24/7.

When students do well its because of the parenting but when they do poorly we should fire the teachers for bad performance

I am a high school teacher. I got such a good laugh at this post.

How did you find out about the broom flying and children eating? (j/k)

Everyone complains about how much teachers make but nobody says how much they think is a fair salary for someone who has made it a career. Since the average pay is far less than the often-cited 6-figure numbers, i bet what most people feel is fair is probably more than what most are making.

I say 85-95k for someone who has been working 12-15 years with all the credits.
OH YEA- teachers should work for room and board and donate any additional money to charity but not be allowed to write that donation off.
