Did worst losses a month or so ago. How about biggest victories?

Lakers over Celtics 1985 (By far the Number One victory for LA)
Dodgers over Yankees 1981 (Interestingly, the Reds had the best record in baseball that strike year and they didn't make the playoffs.)
Angels over Giants 2002
Kings over Edmonton (down 5-0 in third period), 1982
Dodgers over A's 1988
Rams over Cleveland Browns 1951
Raiders over Redskins 1984
Ducks over Ottawa 2007

since you opened the door with the Angels (not technically LA ) how about those Ducks bringing the Cup to the west coast for the first time in NHL history with one heckuva playoff record to boot.

Lakers over the Portland Trailblazers in game 7 (an elimination game) of the 2000 Western Conference Finals. With about 10 minutes left in the game, the Lakers came from behind being down by 15 points and won the game, stunnnig the Blazers and everyone else who was watching. It was one of the biggest meltdowns in NBA history and an absolute joy to witness. To this day, the Blazers have never been the same.

Oh ya, I remember that one. Pippen was so PO'd. Was that a Horry miracle shot too??? The Lakers gave Sacramento a lot of pain in that era too.

Man, the more I think about the Lakers in the past ten years the more I realize what could have been had Shaq never left. It was sour when they lost to Detroit with a Dream Team with Malone (who was hurt in the final games). Detroit just played better team ball.

Now that I think of it, What about 1980 against the sixers, Magic Johnson playing center with Alcindor out with a sprained ankle?

I remember one of the first Laker games I saw at the Forum, March 1972: Wilt and Jerry and the Lakers 162, Warriors 99.

LAKERS LAKERS! WHOOO!!!!! Tonight was such an intense game. I'm still coming off the adrenaline of the whole thing.

Good performance from 13 down to 4 up in the end. WHOOOO!!!!!

With a lot of LA area residents on the US National Soccer team, they shall only add to the athletic ability of LA. WHOOO!!!

I think this has to rank as the SWEETEST Finals victory for the LAKERS since 1985....when they finally lifted the Celtic monkey off their back.

What a GRITTY win!! Boston was a worthy opponent.....GO LAKERS!!!

Agree that this victory was the sweetest in many years, especially since it was against the Celtics and the memory of how poorly the Lakers were treated in Boston in 2008. There was personal revenge against Boston that goes beyond the historic rivalry. Tonight the Lakers put the Celtics in their place: losers!

congrats to the lakers and all of their fans on a thrilling victory and another championship. i'm not a lakers fan by any means but i really despise the celtics, so i was pulling for you guys in this one.

it was really sweet to see boston go down, not just because a lot of their players are annoying and unlikeable, but more importantly because the loss shut up their obnoxious, arrogant fans - for one year, at least.

good job, guys.
but is it asking too much for the morons smashing windows, lighting fires, and jumping on top of cars around pico & figueroa to celebrate without being violent for once?
