Just wondering. I have yet to meet one that smiles and if they do, it's pretty obvious that they want your business if you're not a broker and if you are a broker and they're smiling, it's probably because they're some psycho who would really like to take you to an open house and cut you into a million pieces. No but really, they're the most condencending, rude, unintelligent, snobby, classless schmos in the world. I have yet to met one I like or would like to deal with and why do they treat loan agents so miserably horribly wrong when it's the loan agents who are the reason the loans get funded and the stinkin' RE's agent's deal closes. RE agents type up an offer or a listing, which is RE 101 and they think they're GOD'S GIFT? Do they even realize the crap loan agents have to go through to get things done? And they all claim to make a fortune. What's up with that? Who cares? When the market is good, anyone can make money with a bit of determination. It's when the market is poor and you're doing well that counts. And even then, it's no reason to treat agents like garbage. As a broker myself, I've encountered nothing but SCUM as RE agents and I've even chased one down the street after he spit on me for NO REASON! They're beyond insane, many of them certifiable I believe. Any comments?

We have the nicest, friendliest RE agents in our area - they work very hard for their money - giving up many days to host open houses - during the week and weekends. The market is slow for them too and many aren't making a great income right now. I find that people are usually friendly and nice when you act that way towards them - not always, but usually.

Wow, I have never heard of an agent spitting on someone.

The worst example of a real estate agent I have seen is one who does not care about whats best for the client or prospect but only how quickly they can slam someone into a property.

I was in the market several years ago and after looking at about 10 homes, 5 with her and about 7 on my own, she simply said "if your not serious then I dont want to continue spending time on my file".

I laughed as she honestly felt I should have simple chosen what was offered rather than wait for a property that I had a connection with.

I have heard such stories from others - RE agent visibly angry if you tell them your requirements (3 bedroom , 2 bath) and they show you a few homes that meets that requirement and you don't buy one.

I re-read my post and remembered another realtor told me "when your ready to buy something give me a call and I will show you a few places that are available"
Seriously, they want you to lay down 100s of thousands on what they have available at the moment. If you dont, your wasting their time.

A good realtor keeps your number, keeps you in the loop on new deals, and calls you before they list a property to see if your interested. That makes everyone look good.
