I just wanted to say that L.A. drivers tend to be rude, mean and discourteous. I don't know who to describe it. But when you turn on your blinkers, they cut you off deliberately. People also love to flip the bird here.

My mom, brother and I were driving and filming the beaches near Redondo Beach, and a car pulls up alongside us and starts to flick their middle fingers at the camera.

I don't know. People are just shady and unprofessional here.

Yeah, maybe. But most of them moved here from somewhere else.

I was thinking this today too. It is rare that when I put my turn signal on that someone actually lets me switch lanes. I have to plan way ahead of time to expect this and that most drivers here do not let you switch lanes without speeding up fast and pretending they don't see you.

If you really think LA drivers are rude, you should pay a visit to Philadelphia, NYC, Boston, or even Wash DC. Then you will no longer think LA drivers are rude.

I didn't find LA drivers to be that rude when I was there. But then again I'm from Michigan and if you are not going 10mph over the limit here you are ran off the road so everyone in LA had a hard time keeping up. lol

btw- Those car pool lanes rule.

Miami is worse, MUCH worse than L.A. in terms of rude drivers.

Every city-data city forum has a thread on why people think that city's drivers are the worst. There's always a post in that thread on why the blame lies with outsiders. There's also a post on there on why the outsiders drive properly and the natives have something to learn.

I'll be happy when people going on the 405 from Sunset over into the SFV and vice versa learn that if you step down harder on the gas pedal, your car will go faster, even uphill.
