It is NOT overrated, it IS everything it's cracked up to be, it's exactly like what they show on t.v. and I'll fight any man who says otherwise!!!!!!

I feel that certain parts of LA, or certain beliefs are overrated. In saying that, LA is my home and I love it. I was born here and I have no plans on leaving.

As a matter of course, whenever I would have visitors (especially from the Midwest) visiting for 4 days or less, I universally sent them down to San Diego. You simply cannot really "get" LA in that time.

(As a side note, as a Palos Verdes resident (in exile), few things are more fascinating than starting a long drive from home on Crenshaw near the cliffs on the Pacific and taking it to Wilshire. If the OP had done that, she would have definitely sung a different tune.....)

LA is not overrated or underrated. It is simply what you make of it. I love it.
