Bellflower is actually ok. Lakewood is just south of Bellflower and is also pretty nice.

I am in Bellflower on the border with Lakewood, I grew up in lakewood so I did not get far.

BTW - when I lived temporarily (in corporate housing) in Lakewood, I was up in Bellflower all the time to eat. What can I say, I have a thing about good old down home American comfort food, which at the time (early 90s) was rife in Bellflower. Have not been back recently though.

If you can afford seal beach id go with that...one of the nicest places in socal. If you need to save some money or what have you, i would look right in bellflower or the other bordering areas.

Most of Bellflower is not bad, so I'd consider there first. I live in Lakewood, neighboring city to the south and it's a good area to consider as well. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Bellflower has changed a lot in the past 10 years ... and not in a good direction. It's better than Norwalk or Paramount but Lakewood is better as well as parts of Downey. I left the whole area a few years ago and headed for the coast and will never go back.
