There was a freakin' study on this? Is this such an important, concerning topic that they had to do a study on instead of more vital health or social related issues?

Anyhow, looking at this list, I could also name it as "50 metropolitan areas where I would like to live in REVERSE order".

A lot of women in LA prefer metrosexual men.

what a joke! this study was commissioned by the freakin Mars candy/snackfood conglomerate! Their ideal of "manliness" is probably the obese badly dressed guys you see on People of Walmart.

This is hilarious. I love that their Board of Manliness includes a lumberjack and some guy who won a World Beard Championship. I was born and raised in LA, and like most people, don't like people snarking on my hometown, but this high comedy. Complete list of criteria here: Combos Microsite

The only thing we get ranked highly on (#3) is sports, but apparently lack a "manly lifestyle" which entails pick up trucks and rodeos, and have too many furniture and home decore shops and sushi joints.

I've lived in many cities in the US.
The least manly cities, IMO, not necessarily in this order, are SanFrancisco, Berkeley, New York, and Boulder.

Replace "manly" with "stupid" and we have something quite a bit more accurate.

They must have forgotten about the LA riots, that was about as testosterone fueled as it gets.
