Walking to Wilshire/Vermont Metro from Wilshire/South Virgil After Dark

martimeone, could you jog those two or three blocks at the end of your shift, rather than walk them? Or would your teacher gear be too bulky for that?

(Joggers get mugged, too, of course, but quickly moving targets must be less tempting.)

Can you arrange to visit beforehand on a weeknight in a car and/or with friends, to scout the area for a first hand impression? And if students from your own evening class aren't available to accompany you to the subway, could you make arrangements with students from another class?

Also, for whatever it's worth, you can enter that station from Shatto, a block east ... although I strongly suspect that the main entrance at Wilshire/Vermont will have more traffic, and will be better lit.
