Finally!!!!! After a 6 week vacation last year and asking a lot of questions to my CD family about LA I am here! This cross country move was a lot of planning over the past year and knowing that I had all of you to help made it easier. Thanks to all for your advice, warnings and suggestions. I am exhausted!

Congrats on a successful move. I'm about 99% that I'm going to be moving from Northern Virginia to LA come November. What area did you decide on, if I may ask? I'm currently looking to live somewhere between Valley Village and Pasadena.

The (elephant in the room) question everyone wants to know is, Will you be a net consumer or net producer of government funds? Meaning, will you use more in services than you will pay in taxes?
(Right now, I am a net consumer; I have four kids in government schools and those government expenditures far exceed the amount I pay in taxes.)
