California high court lets Expo Line to Santa Monica move forward - latimes.com

The Expo Line: From the Court of Public Opinion to the Supreme Court...And Back Again

So now nothing blocks the expansion of LAMTA to the Westside. That was my major complaint about the Westside the first couple of times I was there. Lovely area, but no trains. Finally, that's FIXED. Well, technically it already goes to Culver City. Soon it will go all the way to Santa Monica (2015).

Definitely going to be a great thing for LA when it sees the light of day.

Only 2 years from now, so it will be here before you know it!

I will be long gone. But I like riding the light rail in LA. They run pretty well for the most part, and just to say that it goes to the beach will be great for the city. Specifically making getting from downtown LA to Santa Monica quite easy.

I get the feeling houses near the Westwood and Sepulveda stops are going to go up in value soon.

Congratulations, LA, you're two years away from having a rail line to the sea.

Now, there's still the matter with the Purple Line extension.

Glad to hear that. It might even alleviate some of the traffic on metro line 720.
