Which one of those cities is the most liberal, walkable, has narrow streets (european style ) and is safer?

Most liberal - Silver Lake
Most walkable - Pasadena
Most Euro type streets - Silver Lake
Safest - Burbank and Glendale

there is nothing european about silver lake, the roads are only narrow in the hills, which aren't exactly walkable areas. and as for burbank being hot, that is true, but all the areas you mentioned are very close to each other so temp differences will not be dramatic.

Most walkable, Pasadena. I haven't seen any place with narrow streets or european style in LA.

Glendale is very walkable and very safe. It doesn't have as much going on as Pasadena and it is getting overcrowded because they won't stop building new condos and rental apartments. Traffic is horrible and the drivers are some of the worst in the state. The Glendale Press once called Glendale "home of the hit and run." That being said, I do like living here and there are many interesting restaurants, summer festivals and activities, etc. It took some people a long time to warm up to me and my family because we are not Armenian but it isn't a problem anymore. I've met some wonderful people here.

Based on the criteria you listed and assuming that you listed the critera in the order of importance from most important to least important, Silver Lake or Los Feliz would be for you.
