Well you can contact a realtor here in LA. I'm sure they would be willing to find you a house in Compton if you're interested.

Tell me the commute length and I will tell you if they will gentrify. Even Hayward, CA is cracking under the pressure of gentrification and its a 40 minute commute to some places.

No thanks. If I want to be in the ghetto I'd rather be in the ghetto I know (Oakland for instance) than the ghetto I don't.

Lancaster is 70 miles from Dtla. Trust me, it won't gentrify. It's in the desert on the other side of a mountain range.

Yeah that's too far.

Forbes Welcome

As a professional talking head on watches I often get asked about investing in watches for profit. The idea that you’ll buy a watch and wait until it increases in value doesn’t made for good sense. Plus, historically it doesn’t happen often even with extremely rare watches.
I'm not disagreeing with you, dude. But I wanted a Rolex. I didn't buy it bc I was looking for some huge return or to make a profit (I'll wear it for life); I just wanted a nice watch. It's just icing on the cake that they appreciate and will last for generations.

My point was, a Rolex wasn't a stupid nor irresponsible purchase. Blowing $7k on other worthless luxury wearables (like designer clothes) is, however.

Why is someone complaining about LA being too expensive when they have luxury items like a Rolex and a Lexus?

But...do they have a Rolexus? (that's a Lexus filled with Rolexes, mind you)

Yes, I tried to point out the hypocrisy of that but I was told he was "fiscally conservative" so his decisions made sense.
