Agreed. Gang references among popular black musicians are also way down compared to 90s. Some of the lyrics to songs nowadays are almost indie singer songwriter twee stuff now.

I’ve heard the same thing about LAPD officers living in Eastvale. My friend who lives there has 3 on her street. Probably why it is one of the safest cities around.

That's good if it's true. Do you happen to have any source material on that?

Of course, it takes a great deal of financial acumen and future-time orientation to be able to survive in California these days.

Those things alone have a way of separating desirable people -- of all colors -- who are serious about their lives, from less-desirable people who are more prone to crime.
