Anyone know what to expect? moving to SL soon. Probably leave at about 6:30 a.m. Hour? More? Less?

Oy, not good.

I honestly cannot even imagine making that commute. Do you have any other options?

Good luck. Friend of mine commuted from Silver Lake to UCLA, and he said it was about 90 minutes each way. They moved to Park La Brea (she works downtown) and cut his drive in half. Far better options for El Segundo would be the South Bay, Long Beach or even Santa Monica.

I know a few Mattel folks who do the drive from San Gabriel Valley. You are looking at 1 hour 15 minutes in the morning and longer at night! We moved from Manhattan Beach to La Canada when my husband left Mattel for WB. The commute was just torture! If you can -just don't do it. Don't know your status - single, married, with kids... etc. but look in the South Bay. Hermosa, Redondo even south El Segundo further away from the airport have a lot to offer.

it took me about 1 hour 45 minutes to drive from burbank to el segundo, and that was a saturday morning.
