After signing contract for a new build, I saw and quickly notified the builders agent that I saw a price listed as $217 not $230k as in my contract - on their website. He said it was an error that resulted in prices from one year ago loading. As I continue to research the builder and the company I find the house listed for another lower price. The difference this time is additional $20k.
I have a few concerns:
1. The capability of this builder to build a home if they can't manage a website.
2. Is the builder obligated to honor the lesser price?

Thanks in advance for your insight!!

Real estate prices change every day. If I enter into a contract to buy a house for 500k and the next day an identical one sells for 450k I dont get to match the price. This isnt best buy

1. Don't worry about it. I design apps and sites for incredible businesses that still use Windows XP.
2. Not unless it's in your contract. A relative added a clause to their purchase of a new-construction town home where the builder must amend the purchase price if the units were reduced. [It didn't happen]. Although the builder is under no obligation to reduce the price without this clause, it would be morally astute to match the price as securing purchases from the early birds shows well to the builder's financing institution. In short, they have at least some incentive to keep you happy and avoid turmoil.

Two questions of my own:
1. Are we talking about the exact same unit? Or is there possibility of the $217k unit having different furnishings?
2. Where the hell in LA are you buying that has $230k new construction?
