This type of rental has to be long term thought right? I cannot be like month to month can it? Just trying to understand the regulations. And can you do this with a room in a house or must be an apartment? If so, then can you literally rent out, say the living room, the family room, and convert the dining room for renting out? What about the rooms in the basement, and if you have finished attic?

Hi no it doesn't have to be an apartment I know some people do rent rooms out of their houses.
