What's the percentage of people in South Central (let's call it what it is) that even are aware there is an election never mind this particular ballot measure? And to take it a step further, how many can legally vote? Felons and illegals can't vote. If the ones that can vote are aware how many are going to vote for something that will likely mean they'll get pushed out of their homes faster?

I think thats the idea behind the bill. Theyre relying on a low turnout.

truth is there is always a low turn out for everything other then presidential election. There is a lot of grass roots stuff with sour grapes dems right now to get people out to local elections so they can at least win something. That might help a little with this since it's so soon after Trump but really most people don't care about voting

I don't know how to respond to this. South Central has changed a lot. I believe the Blacks were basically pushed out by the illegal immigrants? Or am I off base? I know that many inner cities have changed so much. I know Trump wants to do more. Most Blacks moved out to Riverside, Moreno Valley area. Again, correct me if I am wrong. Felons and Illegals cannot vote but we know they can also get fake ID's so I don't know.

It is SAD what has happened to the inner cities. Lennox which is close to LAX is unrecognizable. It looks like a third world country with bars on windows and writing on the walls. I took my sister-in -law there to see if her first home was still standing that they bought in 1970. It was but the neighborhood was bad. It is filled with drugs and crime. Not good. The locals who have stayed in Southern California speak the truth as to how bad it is anymore.

Why do I say this?
Simple, low voter turnout always happens in off year voting, and those that do show up to vote, are more likely to be seniors.
Seniors do not want anymore building in this city.
They don't want the added influx of people, and God knows, they don't want the increased traffic, which new development will bring.
The seniors of this city always vote, they feel it is their duty.
They will vote yes on measure s.

Bob.

My theory is that a generation of Black families fled so that their sons would not become the next generation of Crips or Bloods. And newly Simpson Mazolli Act legal Latinos moved into the vacated houses. So South LA doesn't look like abandoned Detroit

This city councilman is trying to use Hollywood to get attention with the headline .
"Hollywood" isn't behind this .
Just because a guy that has a building in Hollywood is funding it doesn't mean "Hollywood" is behind it .

Tired of these politicians insulting people's intelligence and trying to tell them a bunch of B.S

"Measure S, the development moratorium on the March 7th ballot, began at the top of a Hollywood high-rise."
