The PT Barnum of our generation. This guy has most of the country absolutely convinced he's just one of the world's great visionaries and completely blind to the fact that his real claim to fame is finding inventive ways to funnel government monies into his own pockets on money-losing ventures that sound cool but ultimately accomplish very little.

Oh right. Self landibg rockets, tesla in space, reusable rocket tech, and a successful movrment towards electric vehicles. And this guy is working and on getting us to Mars with the BFR.

Doesnt seem like alittle. Hes actually accomplished alot. So your comment just sounds like empty bickering. With very little knowledge.

The only thing he's brought to the table that seems in any way potentially useful is the rocket tech (something that others were already working on, they just didn't get there as fast because they weren't as adept at stealing from the public). EV's? They've been around forever, and if you actually give credit to Elon for that, you obviously know nothing about the tech or the existing push towards them nor just how much King Elon fleeces from John Q. Taxpayer on every one of the vehicles he sells. Or every roof panel he installs. Or every battery he ships.

THere will never be a shortage of people wanting to go down on Musk and take a load to the face from him, but the fact is if you actually look at how much money he basically robs us of in order to conduct his science fairs, the picture becomes a lot more clear.

I'd rather have rich folks like Elon Musk that use their wealth to push our species further than old money that sits on it's wealth and sticks their middle finger to society.

And I never said he invented the electric car. But he's bringing it to the masses and I hope more companies follow suit.
