I was driving the 91 freeway today, and even on a Saturday early afternoon i got stuck in heavy traffic for no ostensible reason. So then, instead of "sig alerts" that tell us in the affirmative about adverse traffic conditions, we should have the reverse of that, so then, we get an alert that there's not adverse traffic and if we're fast enough, we just may be able to drive somewhere without being annoyed with noobs cluttering up our roads.

Are you new here? There's always traffic on Saturday afternoons.

I agree that at this point sigalerts would waste less breathe and time by just mentioned where there ISN’T traffic versus traffic.

Oh, I will indeed. I'm native to L.A., and I remember quite well what traffic was like decades ago. The crowding is ridiculous at this point as L.A. gets to be more like Beijing or New Delhi.

When I visit cities like Vegas, Phoenix, and even Kansas City I'm impressed with their lack of traffic.

Me too. And nice smooth roads without trash and graffiti. I've left Hollywood at midnight and been in bumper to bumper traffic. There's no hope it's just getting worse

Since the end of the Great Recession it's been getting consistently worse. I wont wish another recession like that, but traffic was certainly better!
