Yes, although he's a celebrity addiction specialist, so he knows about the media and certain causes.

If there is truly a danger of a deadly epidemic here, isn't it unusual that the CDC hasn't made a statement about it?

Ummm. Ever occur to you to wonder why he’s the “only one upset over all of this”? With thousands of physicians, with a public health department full of physicians, epidemiologists, and social scientists, with the federal CDC employing thousands more of the biologists and medical, epidemiology specialists ... with all that, how come it’s just lonely warrior Dr. Drew.

Maybe because he’s a media star whose fame and fortune rides on sensationalizing any available topic he can attach his credentials to? ... even though his sex-addiction credentials have zip to do with public health disease policy?

Oh huh.

I sometimes put on gloves to bring them back up by our house after trash day. Something has to be done. People need to get VERY angry in my home state of California. I don't care if you are Republican-Libertarian or Dem...people need to get upset over this. This is no laughing matter and unless you live here- see it - you cannot comprehend.
Here’s an idea for you: read through these threads and also look up the topic on the internet. Learn. Example: you don’t get typhus from homeless people (it’s spread only by infected fleas that sometimes are present on some feral animals) ... and typhoid fever isn’t present in LA at this time (except for one police detective, who didn’t have contact with homeless people / camps). Typhoid fever occurs in several hundred people in the US each year, with most cases traced to foreign travel ... at this time, where / how the detective contracted it hasn’t been identified.

Relax. Take a good bong hit. Enjoy the day

Here we are in the information age ... with 24/7 access to countless information sources which can be consulted and cross-checked ...

... and you come to a forum filled with volatile opinionations contributed by anonymous posters ... none of whom you can verify as actually living where they might say ... to get the “straight skinny”, eh?
