A lot of traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, due to all the visitors from across the metro and tourists from across the nation. A sometimes over-zealous police department with nothing better to do than write petty tickets. Some snobbish homeowners who think they made it cause they live in Santa Monica.
If you can afford it, SM is one of the better places to live in the metro area.
