I wonder if this restaurant thing will be the whole state. This is all such a terrible thing. The impact is going to be devastating especially to all the employees who work in these industries being closed down. There’ll be more homeless than ever.

Indeed, and I'm amused that Amazon and E-Bay are prohibiting people such as that guy who bought the truckloads of hand sanitizer from online price gouging.

It's terrible that the goverment can shut down your business that you've worked hard to establish and especially since it's completely hysteria

Not when the purpose is to keep people from dying.

They are not coming out of nowhere and telling businesses to shut down for no reason. There is a serious purpose here. Read the news and see what is happening in Italy if you don't believe. Try dealing in facts and not bull$h!t.

A more relevant argument would be that since shutting businesses is the right decision to save lives, the government should stop worrying about banks, Wall Street, and large corporations and worry about giving financial support to working people and small businesses. They should literally allow people and small businesses to file claims for cash reimbursement for lost wages and lost revenue.

LOL...thank you for the laugh, it was needed.

Very true what you said.

Yes, the curfew was at dusk. Good memory, it was 5 days. The negative impact on the local economy lasted a few years.

I was just at Vons in Silverlake, long lines and empty shelves in certain areas like meat, no fish counter.

People need to calm down, a few people in line mentioned getting groceries delivered. Well let's do some critical thinking, if Vons for example had a 50% increase in demand, how do they meet it? A woman behind me looked into it and if you order food today, delivery date is March 28th....so that's a long way out.

The other thing I don't get and won't do is ordering take out. Where's the logic if you can't eat in the restaurant, someone is preparing it, and than 3rd party like Door Dash is delivering it. So now you have an extra person touching your food. Buy your own food and cook yourself.

The mortality rate is very low overall. Italy if fairing poorly because they have the oldest population in Europe.

Can't buy it if idiot hoarders got to it first. Take-out isn't delivery; take-out makes much more sense, if there's no crowd waiting.

Garcetti has declared moratorium on evictions for renters, so hopefully that will help.

Rent is still do. While you can't get evicted now , once it's permitted and you are still not able to pay it, you will get evicted
