A former coworker went there. It's an excellent school. He ended up working in aerospace.

Pomona itself isn't really a place you want to live, but you'll be fine if you commute from Walnut or Diamond Bar or something.

I went to CPP and I really enjoyed it. Great teachers there and very diverse student body. The campus itself isn't too spectacular, mostly farmland, but I totally recommend it. pomona

Hi my name is Josh I am a 25 year old student at Cal Poly and I am looking for someone that is interested in renting a room in a big house located in a beautiful neighborhood close to Cal Poly just off the 57 free way. Please give me a call or text @ (909) 918-9059. I live about 5 minutes from campus (((usually takes me 10-15 min from my house to my seat in class))) The house has a good size pool, fire pit, and built in BBQ outside. Hot tub is out of commission but the land lord is working on it. Rent is 550.00 a month

Default Biotech at CPP vs. UCSD

I was wondering, does Cal Poly Pomona have a good biotech program because I have been accepted into the Kellogg Honors Program as a biotech major and the other school that I am deciding on is UC San Diego. The only thing is that, as a UC school, it has very large class sizes, and the smaller class sizes offered at CPP have pushed me into considering the school; however, UCSD is well-known for their bioengineering/biotech programs. So, how relatively good is the biotech program at CPP? Thanks for your input.

I would think that Cal Poly Pomona is a great school that offers a lot in terms of tech, architechture, engineering and the sciences. It seems like it has a top program in all these fields and is a feeder school into the CA workforce too.

I know Cal Poly SLO is highly respected and in terms of the sciences is respected up there with the tops in CA; Stanford, UCLA, Berk, USC. I am sure Cal Poly Pomona is too being affiliated and also housing some top programs; urban planning, architecture, engineering, bio, ag.

The town is a bit rustic but the surrounding area around the campus is pretty.
