I love the 2nd Street atmosphere, of course the Belmont Shores area, too. Where is it safe to live alone?

anywhere in Belmont Shore or Seal Beach is safe. Regarding belmont, if you're worried about late night noise it's quieter to live on the north side of 2nd because there aren't as many apartments. lots of families north of the toledo. That is technically belmont park. almost all single family residences but still only a short walk to 2nd.

The one thing that is great about Seal Beach is you are bordering Long Beach and also have H.B a few miles to the south. Point being Seal is a great Central Location in my humble opinion.

Yes. Belmont Shore does have crime. And so does every other place in America.

And at least in Belmont Shore crime is rare enough that when something happens it gets a lot of attention and something is typically done about it.
